Libbie was inspected and approved for breeding by the American Trakehner Association in 2006. She was entered into the ATA Official Stud Book with an overall score of 56, earning the title of "Model Mare," a distinction awarded to only approximately 3% of mares on the basis of their above average qualities of type, conformation and movement.
Libbie was started under saddle in June, 2006 by Barbara Crabo of Four Peaks Farm in Scottsdale, Arizona and lightly worked for four months before taking the winter off. Barb says she is a pleasure to ride, and after only a couple of weeks under saddle, could be ridden quietly on trail rides even if she had been off work for several days. She is very easy and uncomplicated to ride, and Barb was able to just jump on and head out alone without any problems. Libbie's gaits are even and rhythmic, and she free jumps willingly and with confidence. She has a happy, laid-back nature and new situations don't bother her.
Libbie will be the perfect competitive horse for an amateur rider, She is the type of horse that loves people and attention and wants to bond with her owner.
NEWS: She has started eventing! Second place at Galway Downs July 5, 6, and 7th. She also placed second in the Young Event Horse Series there out of eleven horses. Following in her mother's footsteps, she is the "darling" at the shows. She will compete in two more large events in July.
Her price will continue to increase with her experience. Please inquire for her price and more information.
